Apple Called Android a ‘Massive Tracking Device,’ Internal Docs Reveal
It’s no secret that Apple has a dim view of the Android operating system, but the company has reportedly been privately referring to it as a “massive tracking device” as far back as Janury 2013, according to a leaked company presentation.
The presentation, which was disclosed in the US vs. Google antitrust case, shows that Apple strategized about using Google’s privacy woes early on as a marketing tactic to lure consumers away from Android to iOS.
