Windows 10 Privacy – Anti Spying

Windows 10 tends to eavesdrop quite a bit, but here’s how you can stop this data from being sent to Microsoft.

Thought is why does Microsoft require so much data from it’s platform user base? After thought with Microsoft at 76% use world wide “approximate figure” what are they doing with all that data that is being retrieved? They claim simply to enhance the customer experience and debug and make the product better.

Windows 10 is perhaps the most Internet-connected and cloud-centric operating system released by Microsoft to date. This, of course, has caused many users to be concerned about how the OS respects their privacy (or doesn’t).

Windows 10, by default, has permission to report a huge amount of data back to Microsoft. By clicking through “Express Settings” during installation, you allow Windows 10 to gather up your contacts, calendar details, text and touch input, location data, and a whole lot more.

The Operating System then sends it all back to Microsoft so that it can be used for personalization and targeted ads or for other unknown purposes.

If this is a concern as it should be personally no Operating System should be so intrusive on it’s users, luckily there is a way to stop this intrusive behavior.

Don’t believe this check out these reads:

Microsoft’s Windows 10 has permission to watch your every move

Windows 10 automatically spies on your children and sends you a dossier of their activity
